LITTLE PASTA
Dinner was calm
It was just the four of us,
and I got to sit at the table.
The meat browned in fat
as the ragu bubbled for four hours.
Chewy and salty pasta slipped from our forks,
and the splatter of whip cream paints my cabinets,
but it was worth it for some apple pie smiles.
I hope to see you all again soon
