RUBY'S OMAKASE
The best part for me
Is when I get to see all the food stained plates
At the end of the night
When I get to fight with seaweed stuck to bowls
Because you licked the plate clean
And your saliva is glue for the food
When the slipping of shoes follows exaggerated yawns
And a few brave souls ask “Can I help you clean?”
To which I respond “No, but I’d enjoy the company”
And the running water fades into the background
